We require a skilled and experienced Bioenergy Project Manager to work on renewable energy projects. You will be accountable for the delivery of Biomass installation projects, managing the entire project lifecycle and report directly to the management team.

We require a skilled and experienced Biomass Project Manager to work on renewable energy projects. You will be accountable for the delivery of Biomass installation projects, managing the entire project lifecycle and report directly to the management team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for Biomass installation projects of all scales, ensuring delivery on-time and within budget.
  • Responsible for ensuring implementation and compliance to all Biomass related installation standards and procedures.
  • Direct management of all on-site personnel allocated to each installation project.
  • Recruitment, training and development of installation engineers as required.
  • Collaboration with operations colleagues in other areas of the business.

To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate experience with the following:

  • Renewable energy industry and biomass installation experience is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of successful project delivery and high standard of work (ideally through a project portfolio).
  • Must demonstrate an ability to assertively pursue objectives whilst maintaining constructive and effective relationships across multiple levels.

Specific core competencies and skills:

  • University degree (technical or analytical based) would be an advantage or alternatively an equivalent level of experience.
  • A professional operations/technical manager with a strong aptitude for analysis leading to plans for improvement, looking to work in an entrepreneurial venture.
  • You need good communication skills and a hands on approach.
  • Must be capable of analysis and securing improvement against identified areas of opportunity.
  • Ability to interface assertively and effectively at all levels.

Forestry Operation Business Manager

Ecotech Alliance is currently seeking a skilled forest operation business professional to work on sustainable forestry projects in Europe. You will be responsible for the management of timberland, plantation projects, managing the entire forestry lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for managing and develops forest lands and its resources for sustainable economic development.
  • Manage the supervising of forest workers and contractors in the field, which may include negotiation with subcontracting companies.
  • Managing the organising of growing, harvesting, marketing and sale of timber and its related products with the management team. This includes but is not limited to, planting supervision, site preparation supervision, multi-phase timber development, and various program management and implementation activities.
  • Managing recruitment, training and development of technicians and contractors as required.
  • Keeping up to date with changes to legislation and other developments.
  • Working to and maintaining globally recognised forest certifications.

To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate experience with the following:

  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of successful forestry management.
  • Sound operational knowledge and administration skills to the business functions of private forest management.
  • Excellent accounting, financing and budgeting skills.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish the goals and objectives.
    Can perform a variety of complicated tasks.

Specific core competencies and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in forest operations, business or management would be an advantage or alternatively an equivalent level of experience
  • A professional forestry operations manager with a strong aptitude for analysis leading to plans for improvement, looking to work in an entrepreneurial forestry venture.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, legal and procedure.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan to accomplish company’s goals and objectives.
  • Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills. Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to delegate responsibility and to work with others while coaching them to develop their capabilities.
  • Ability to take responsibility for your own or the performance of those reporting to you by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, ensuring feedback, and addressing performance problems and issues promptly.
  • Experienced in managing research teams in areas such as silviculture, pathology, tree improvement and entomology.
